studio /stoo-dee-oh/ noun - The workroom of an artist....

Welcome to the studio. The sights, sounds and smells of a metals studio are unique among studios. The hiss and pop of the torch, the tap-tap-tap of the hammer, the smooth cut of the drill... all comprise the space in which metal is forged, fabricated, planished, rolled, chased, pressed, oxidized, annealed, beveled, burnished and more.

There are many opportunities for artistic studio exploration at Lede. Metalsmithing offers a rare opportunity to create on a small scale with great attention to detail while creating jewelry - the only art form so intimate as to be worn on the body. The classes and workshops are growing steadily. If you'd like to consider taking a class or using the studio for your own work, refer to the Classes page, or please contact us with any questions.
